What are the cage options for the S2 apart from 4 or 6 point who makes them and how much as I’d prefer to give this a go myself, just wondering about pricing really?
And also weight, anyone know what the weight of a standard fit 4 point cage is compared to the Lotus T45 or Hot-Lap 4 point cage?

I guess they will be pretty heavy Jonny. You will have to have your rib cage and scull changed to carbon fibre to compensate mate. 
I would,nt bother if you,re only doing TD,s Jonny.
I’d imagine a 4 point T45 would be similar to standard, but I like the Carbon skull idea…interesting lol.
Jonny, might be worth having a chat to Elgan at Hot-Lap. I was impressed with my T45 cage, it was about 10kg lighter than CDS. They do various options of cage and you can go for self install or turnkey. PM coming your way with cost details. Sssh don’t tell the Mrs!
IIRC Lotus Sport when specing my factory from shell order still wanted to charge me £3,600 for full cage! I went with T45 half.

I am also of the mind that your average track day goer doesn’t really need to go to all of the expense and hard work, that is installing a proper cage. But Jonny, you are bloody fast in that car of yours, and if the worst did happen, the cost would be a drop in the ocean compared to the potential downside. It only takes sliding off the track sideways and having the the wheels dig in a bit and you’re over.
Hot-Lap just came back with a price of a T45 4 point that is very good and I can fit the 6 point at a later date

Standard hoop and back stays = 11.4kgs
Safety devices in cds hoop and back stays with cross and harness bar is 21.1 kgs
I wish Wes, but it’s cool and after reading what Dave has just posted (Thanks Dave 
) only just heavier at 13.6kg so a small price to pay for the extra safety. What I didn’t ask was if I still need a harness bar, if so a T45 bar would bring things even close together and if not I’ll be making a saving

I am confused. Don’t all S2 have a harness bar.
I have a T45 rear cage. I can’t remember but must I have spec’d that as an extra?
