I,ve got a few items of carbon up for sale if anyones interested?They are all polished items and have all the holes in the right places! no cutting or shaping involved. Both Door inserts Gear stick surround Handbrake tunnel Dash top stack instrument binnicle Carbon air box.They are all Lotus original items in excellent condition. If your interested make me a sensible offer. I will split or sell the complete lot.At the same time i,m after trying to get hold of a Exige alloy gear stick surround. Anybody got one lying around?

Huskydogi’d be interested in the airbox.
At the Lotus factory day they had a car boot style clear out stall of odd bits and peices.They had an Exige carbon fibre air box complete with resonator valve and filter for �150. I explained I had no need for the resonator valve and offered �100, which they accepted and I got the valve as well.I think this was a good price (didn’t have time to think) what is the price normally?.How is it fitted?, only looked quickly but the top two nuts holding the backing plate seem to fix to the box only - can’t see the two underneath.DavidPS anyone want a very cheap resonator valve and filter [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image]

DavidI had a look at the airbox you got from the open day myself ! I fitted on to my car a week or so ago, it’s a bit fiddley but not difficult.If you remove the upright aluminium panel from the ‘boot’ first it will give you better access. There are 4 bolts fixing the airbox, 2 on the top and 2 on the bottom, the bottom two fit through plastic clips which a hose is clipped to. I left the original backing plate attached and just fitted the new airbox to it.The bottom 2 nuts are awkward, you have to ‘feel’ your spanner onto them (no room for a socket).I am qualified mechanical numpty and it took me about an hour to complete !Rob
