Cable worry

Just about to give me car a wash while the sun is shining, and noticed something that instantly got me worried.

Looks like the electrical cable has been rubbing and the rubber surround has been worn away and the cables will be next, difficult to take a close photo as my camera focuses on the lense.

Is there an easy way to get to the cable to retape and position or does the front clam need to come off?

Prays for an easy solution.

I think i would try getting to it through the wheel arch, wheel off, liners out and you might be able to get it in a better position.
When i was putting my front clam back on there seamed to be room to get under there.

Mine is the same as well, I decided to ignore it

Think i’ll try the wheel off and liner out, stupid question is the liner glued or attached in some other way to the body? I can’t use the ignore it tactic as i know it is there and it will grind at me.

The liners are held on by those little plastic screws that you push in and screw out. Very easy to do.

Thanks for info and all the replys, had a check last night in the dark.

Gonna take it a friend’s garage next tuesday as its a bit safer to do on a ramp rather than me jacking it up “mr clumsy”

Update

Mikespeed your info was bang on, removing the wheel and lining was spot on

Feel much happier knowing that my electrics will now not short  the cable’s rubber casing had weathered and fell to bits as soon as I touched it.

Cables now encased and protected

Thanks everyone for the info.
