You’ve got to chuckle…
fair point,no?
Would Jenson have made a better 2nd driver for Mclaren than Heikki Kovalainen?
You’re probably right - but Jenson would have insisted being paid more than Lewis as he is obviously worth more being the better driver
(or should that be whinger).
In fairness, it is probably spot on. The drivers at that level are all very good to the nth degree and JB has not forgotten how to drive, although he is probably pretty demotivated at the moment.
Anyway who gives a toss about mine or anyone elses sad chat room opinion?

That’s a bit over simplistic - good example is Kimi or Heiki neither got on with either of their steeds, for Kimi the car understeered too much and he struggled to manage his tyres. For Heiki it was mainly the brakes he struggled with . And Button should know this from his own experience just look at Rubens out performing him in the 2nd half of the season all because one of the few things Honda would continue to develop was the brakes which was something Rubens struggled with and Button did not.
Simply being an excellent driver (I believe both Heiki and Kimi are) and being in the fastest car is not enough - you have to suit the car or have the ability to change - Lewis changed his driving technique before Silverstone and spend hours in the simulator tweaking the way he drove it. I have a sneaking suspicion that Button and the McLaren would not work that well.
Too much facial hair and sunglases to be successful at Mclaren.
