burning smell

hi all just a quick question, whenever i pull away from the lights quit fast i get a funny burning smell,[im not wheel spinning it either] just wondered wha tit was and if any of you suffer from the same thing? it only happens in 1st gear.many thanks for any replies.

Possibly the connection between engine and driving wheels … er the clutch ??

how can i slove the problem with the clutch?

yes but if i put less pressure on the gas then i will start to get beaten by milk floats!
