I will be campaiging an S1 Elise in the Britcar 24hr race in September under the Chimptune Racing banner (more famously seen with the bright orange Porsche 935 in Britcar). For reasons of sensible tyre size/selection we will be running wheels from the S1 Exige, but these are a little tricky to come by at reasonable prices and our need is brief, 24 hours in fact. I also need 3 sets!
If anyone has set(s) they would be prepared to sell, lend on sale or return or whatever deal you fancy I would be most interested. Any deal would be strict replace as new if we damaged anything with some rental fee also, tickets to the race or whatever you like! In essence we are trying to find a friendly soul who can help us avoid shelling out for 3 new sets that we use for 8 hours each.
I am not a regular Elise racer so am not familiar with the “go to” people nor race teams, but any guidance in that area would be helpful too.
