Just wanted to say what a great day it was at brands. I got to put faces to names, hello to you all. The racing was good and the whole atmosphere infectious.
I plan to watch more rounds of the championship if my timetable permits and i have started to consider joining in
Well done to all those who raced. Good to see Exiges.com won both clases A and B - so well done to Sean and Gavin… Maybe Maddog or Russ will make it a hat trick next time !!!
Excellent day yesterday and all for just 6 entrance fee !
Nice to see a good row of the exiges.com cars parked up - quite a site and nice to see Jamie’s Beramin powered S2 make an appearance with its new owner.
Well done to everyone involved - I for one throughly enjoyed it and hope that the support for the series continues through the rest of the season.
Nice to catch up with a few people and to meet some new folks.
Also good that Lotus brought the ciruict car and the GT3 for everybody to drool over - although not too sure about the GT3 in orange, especially at the front.

Defiantly; and Ive gotta say, the GT3 did look a hell of a lot better in the flesh, I mean yes Im still not sure about the ass, or the colour, but overall, it did look pretty damn good .

Agreed well done to Sean and Gav.
Now all we need is another exiger to win overall for the clean sweep.
Broken inner driveshaft joint, which leads to a damaged oil filter and the oil catches fire. Car was out for the 2nd race, well done to Scuffers etc for getting it fixed in time.
Thanks for all the support guys, it was really nice getting the class win especially with so many other cars in my class in front of me on the grid. Plenty of overtaking for position was had… Excellent stuff!!
By the sounds of it everyone had a great day… I know I did albeit totally knackered after 3 days on the road.
Congratulations to all! but especially to Sean and Gavin, both proving how good:
-can a well assembled K be
-the std S2 Exige is
-how good drivers they are
Would have loved to be there but hey, can’t do everything.
Especially pleasant (to me) is seeing how the little and often slagged 1.8 Rover lump can be there at the top
Class B was won by SeanB in race 1.
Class A was won by Gavin (TarmacTerrorist).
Can someone explain the difference please ?
Thanks,
Dave.
The regs are on the LoTRDC site but in simple terms Class A is for standard cars. So in Gavin’s case with a S2 Exige, totally standard apart from springs & dampers, brake discs & pads and exhaust. S1 & s2 Elises can raise power upto about 170bhp. (single TB)
Class B is a bit more open. Maximum power of 250bhp but there is also a power to weight ratio as well at 350bhp/tonne. Suspension is open (for springs & dampers, wishbone geometry must be the same as standard), you can run 4-pot callipers (but cars must have a handbrake as they should be road legal), bodywork must remain largely standard although wings, diffusers and splitters are allowed. Carbon fibre bodywork is not allowed. Neither are plastic windows or screens.
Class C is similar but max power is 330bhp and max power to weight is 430bhp.
