Great to see that BaT are relocating to Donny, congrats Jonny it sounds like a great move.

Its also interesting to see that they’re offering car storage and arrive/drive services. Maybe not next year but I’m getting to the point where I might even consider this approach as for the last couple of years its only moved when on its way to a trackday or to JSR/MBRacing.

It could expensive though as if I have space on the drive I’d be tempted to fill it…

Second that Stuart told me today at Brands. You should just hire a trailer mate or for that matter why don’t you relocate lol!

A friend of mine who lived in central London saved more on his insurance than his yearly storage costs, it does make you think about storing cars away from home as the security is considered as better.

That depends where you live. You should all consider moving north away from the chav, scally ridden Beirut-ish south :wink:

They’ve offered arrive and drive for a while i think, was talking to a guy who used it on one of their Spa trips and one of my mates was considering it since he lives in london and has nohere to prk a track car

Rent a small garage round your way, least it’s out of the elements. My poxy concrete tiny garage does keep the car nice.

Yeah I know but its impossible to find a garage to rent. Extend your garage out the back, I’ll sub you and then rent a space off you for a lengthy minimum term,…how about that :smiley:

I do think I will have had enough of the south at some point and when I move out,…I’m gonna find me a place that has an out-building just for cars trust me :smiley:

In the interim I will have a chat with Jonny next time I see him.

Happened to notice that Jonny had put a bit more info about this on the BAT website :

  • BaT offer a car storage & transport service whereby we can securely store your track day car at our workshop at Donington Park and transport it to any BaT track day. For trackdays at Donington Park, there is no charge for delivery - the car can be collected from our unit within the paddock and will not need to be driven on the public road.

    The cost of the storage is £65+VAT per month and each track day costs £125+VAT. We can also transport the car to any third party event serviced by the BaT fleet for the same price. Transport to any other location can also be arranged.

Hmmm do I could do this, sell the S-Max, get my Missus in that Fiat500 she wants and then what to get for me…hmmmm. It still has to be ‘practical’ so,…B7 RS4, E60 M5, I’d love one of those AMG CLS55 Shooting Brake things but they’re a bit fierce on price at the moment.

I think I need to get my calculator out for some serious man-maths :wink:
