Have you seen the prices being asked for S1 Exiges on Pistonheads 
- should they be put in the futures market 
I bought mine for ĆÆĀæĀ½17k. If I hadnāt touched it, itād be worth about ĆÆĀæĀ½26k.
BUT, Iām in NZ, so when I bought it, ĆÆĀæĀ½17k was about NZ$48k
Now, at ĆÆĀæĀ½26k, thatās about NZ$52kā¦ so not a lot of profit.
Mind you, Iāve spent about ĆÆĀæĀ½50k on my rebuild all-up, so profit is WELL out the window with mine.
if you ignore all the money Iāve spent on mods, which isnt that much (honest), then Iāve reckon I could get close to the money mine cost me when new 
Mind you purely hypothetical

Thereās only one conclusion to that : if you sell your car now, you will not be able to buy another one in the future. As per many models, the restoration / upgrade costs will always exceed the market price for it. Bought mine ĆÆĀæĀ½ 16.5K, in very average condition, still sorting it, but would definitively think that someone that would offer me ĆÆĀæĀ½ 25K is a jerk

Was one of the reasons I went Series 1
I bought mine earlier this year for the big money, and have been watching them since 2005, when I bought my Elise (that has since moved on). I decided I wouldnāt buy one if they went north of ĆÆĀæĀ½30K, so it would have been a look-a-like Elise with Exige clams and a decent engine. The trouble is with that arrangement is constantly saying to folk itās not an Exige, itās an Exile, Elige, look a like, thingy. I donāt want to do that, I want to know I have the real deal, thatās achingly good to look at, that has all the foibles and issues that series one ownership should have! I wouldnāt blame someone for paying big money, if thats the car they want. I said if I had a huge amount of money, the only car on the list would have been an Exige. Whatever you think of that is up to you, but from the outside of Exige ownership looking in, it seemed to be the be all and end all for me.
Oh, and if I won thst big money, Iād buy all of them came up for saleā¦ and DRIVE a different one every day!!

Like Rob, mine aināt for sale, unless I got offered WELL north of ĆÆĀæĀ½100k for it,probably closer to ĆÆĀæĀ½200k. Mineās not an asset, itās a toy, a toy Iām keeping until I die.
