Bleeding the brakes without a clutch.

I was thinking of removing the pipe from the front of the clutch master cylinder and replacing with a bolt temporarily. The car is going to be moving around now so I wanted some reassurance. Actually I’m not even sure if I can set the handbrake without any fluid in system?

Handbrake’s a cable so you will still be able to use it. I’d just bleed it altogether at the end mate.

Cheers, I was thinking or overthinking as much.

I just replaced my brake pads front and back and changed the brake fluid.
I discovered that the hose from the reservoir that leads to the clutch cilinder was wet,it was brake fluid that i felt.
Then i sucked some brake fluid out so that the pipe to the clutch cilinder no longer feeds the cilinder, and i could renew the hose, then i still could use the brakes and hand brakes.no problem.

Great thank you.

He’s right you know. The plastic bottle is just a header and the clutch outlet is higher than the brakes for obvious safety reasons. I also changed the clutch hose, for the same reason, in the same way. Make sure you plug the clutch hose to stop air getting in.
