We’ve currently got one of the original 205 Turbo 16 rally cars sat in the reception at work and we also had one of the new IRC super 2000 207s a few days ago sat alongside it.
The 205 looks mega - built for 1 thing and 1 thing alone. But what is really noticeable is just how much safety and the build of the car has advanced. The cage / seat etc in the Super 2000 is mega whereas in the 205 its pretty basic by todays standards.
Mind you I would still love a go 
Yeah, amazing. I saw this on another thread as well. You can see why they eventually had to ban the Group B cars… They were absolutely awesome. I used to do a fair bit of rally marshalling and, trust me, these things were scary from the outside so Lord knows how it was from the inside. They always left you with your jaw dropped and the question "How do they do that?
Here’s a photo of me in an oranage jacket - circa 1980 I think so before group B cars which is why I’m still smiling perhaps…
