prep work will begin end of this week. im thinking ill have upto 3-4 weeks now before paint is applied and job is finished…so colour is now on the horizon.
im asking opinions i supose but have one request, the colour must be black! but what black?
do i stick to the origional flat black? do i go for starlight black? or something more interesting? ie i used to ave a vxt “metallic black” it had a slight pearl in it and because of the sharpe angles on the car the colour shiffted from dark grey to deep deep black which looked amazing, but the exige is a curvy car with few sharpe edges,

so any suggestions on colour? or have you senn a particular black which looks great…if so what car, model, year…i know its not a huge deal but ive come this far and spent alot of time and money which ive worked hard for during these past 5 months so dont wanna balls it up now. ta
My S1 is Metallic Black - cant remember the paint code now … all I know is that a BMW Cosmos Black is the closest match to it.
That is slight grey in bright light, but thats because there is quite a lot of metalflake in it … the “official” metallic black I got for it was too black … not enough metalflake So I know what you mean …
I know that doesnt help … well apart from the fact that Black is THE colour for the S1 Exige as we all know
mmmmmmmi did consider matt black at one point but decided against. also looked at chrome and black chrome which look very cool…like the mclaren f1…but its big dollor
I had a wicked CRX a few years ago, it was a colour called ‘Flint Black Metallic’…
It was a colour found on the imports of a certain era, and it was awesome, had gold and red fleck in the paint, only obvious in certain lights… Used to look stunning when clean
