Bilstein contact

I am trying to find out if i can get my super sport pack adjustable bilsteins re valved if i were to increase the spring rates on my Exige S.

Does anybody have a contact with whom i could discuss this. i am trying to avoid all new shocks but want to go a lot harder for the track. I am looking at a spring rate somewhere between the road/track compromise found on the euro cup cars (F325 R475) and the track only set up of the U.S. cup cars (F456 R571)…both of which are significantly stffer than the super sport pack stuff that came with the car.

Any advice on spring rates is also welcome

I think Plans are putting 4?? on the front and 500Lb on the back of mine.

As far as i have been able to find out, the SC cars get a slightly higher rate at the rear compared to NA cars. I assume this is to compensate for the extra weight of the SC and IC etc So you see a 125/150 lb difference front to rear on SC cars

I must admit my S is too soft at the track, especially at the rear. This would re enforce what i have deduced from the spring rates…

Do you speak German? If so ring Mr Hein at “Bilstein Motorsport”

His Phone Nr. is 0049 2333/ 791 46 76

Ja, kann ich!

Thanks, i will call him and post his reply. I imagine it would be interseting for others with the super sport pack to know.

Unfortunately Mr Hein said no they do not rebuild the bilstein damper from the exige, although he did not know which damper our car uses! He suggested i contact the customer centre in England and was unable to help me further…

Anyone got a contact there?? I can’t even find a link…

Ooops, sorry about that. Motorsport dampers are fairly trick things as shown here…

But unforunately they dont have a UK base according to this at least…

Is your car a NA or SC exige? Coz i think Jamie ran 400/500 (also from Plans) which for me is not enough at the rear or too much at the front…

LMS run 450 front and 571 rear on the track only U.S.cup car. This is a difference of 120 lb front to rear. A std elise or Exige have a 100 lb front to rear difference. My S feels too soft overall but more so at the rear which is why the LMS rates seem to make sense to me for an SC car
