Big Bore exhaust manifold K series

Anybody using one of these ??/ should I fit an “EP” big bore after a DVA full refresh and upgrading with big valves etc…??

It is a good manifold IMO. Very nicely made. i had one on my std VHPD that made 206bhp on Dave Walkers rollers

For silensors though, have a look at our one as well as the others. We have just finished them. They are made by tullets to our design in stainless and have a repackable silenser. Bolt straight on, with your choice of tail pipes.

450

Sean…

Just for clarification Sean, is that 450 incl or excl Vat?

Sean I’ll have a look at Anglesey :sunglasses: presumably it survived Snetterton flamethrower moments… :astonished:
cheers

Sorry, its 450 + VAT. We know its a little more than most rear silencers, but the quality is second to none, and the fact it is totally servicable and repackable, means you should never have to replace it!

Hi Clive.

YES! That IS the one to go for! It will release your engine breathing heaps!

Seans Back box sounds good too!

It’s only money mate!

If this is the one I bought off you then I can confirm it’s still running very nicely :sunglasses:

Sean what diametier is the exhaust system?

2.5" or is it 2.75" John???

Tail pipe can be what ever you want really. We have a race car with a sinlge 3" outlet and that looks really good.

Will check tuesday, but basically the same as the outlet from the Janspeed/PTP/Lotus OE flexible section on the Exige/160 Sport.

Tailpipe, pretty much anything that fits through the hole in the rear clamshell!

Its about something more suitable for the S1 non K series was available. we have been pretty limited to 2bular and the Edwards unit.

Hardly my fault Dave! There’s a certain other exhaust manufacturer been trying for months to get a hold of the 8" 2bular through one of their agents, so they can umm, assess it. At a discount, natch, (they’re too cheap to pay retail). Anyway, they’ve got one now, so there’ll be another option soon for some S1 owners. No need for the big 8" with a std K really - no need for the 2.5" bore either.
If you use Acoustafil for the packing, there’s no need, even, to have a re-packable silencer. Over 99% of my Elise/Exige systems are still out there, road and track. This is the 21st century - use the proper materials.

Not slagging it off at all Jim, I have one of your units on the car and its only one I found so far than keep the noise down,

Measured today and its 2.25 inch in and out of the box.

Its a 7inch diameter and lightweight, and noise wise is so far consistantly 92 db, with a LoT legal map - 151 tomatoes at the hubs reving to 7000 rpm.

Went repackable, as the LoT map means that we have to tweak things a bit. Ask Clive about the results of this!!! So far, packing is perfect throughout, with about 1000 miles. These have all been on either dyno, track day, test day, quali or racing, so all at high revs, and no increase in sound.

It’s cool Dave, if I were thinking about bringing out an S1 exhaust - I’d copy 2bular too!

I am looking for a manifold that is close to the Judd K BTCC spec. What are the precise specs on this manifold? I am looking for:

  1. Primary Diameter - 1.75" ID, Length - 19"
  2. Primary/Secondary Collector Length- 4"
  3. Secondary Diameter - 2.125" ID, Length - 10"
  4. Secondary / Tailpipe Collector - 4.5"
  5. Tailpipe diameter (length free) - 2.375" ID
