There are a few bottlenecks with the standard 220 …
Depending of course on your personal taste and what shortcomings annoy you .
For me it was … in order of annoyance :
Fit a proper diff …
Get rid of non-functioning std intercooler (aka pos)
Make it sound half decent …
It then becomes quite a nice car …
After which you will have the bug and probably spend 8 grand plus and love every minute …
My main expenses have been …
2k diff and comp clutch
2k Ohlins
2k CN upgrade
1.5k 2bular manifold etc
? Intercooler … I got a deal …
Above all , enjoy and learn
Ps nearly forgot … keep 50 quid back for driver training !!!
I have the Lotus Sport 260 upgrade. No intercooler mods.
I have driven 6970K’s 220 with a CN conversion & standard intercooler. It is a very, very quick car (subjectively) and at least as quick as my 260, maybe more…
BTW on the day of the drive heatsoak was not likely to occur. My 2p.

I love the sound of the spec of your car - is the pulley, injectors etc from Monkeywrench? Who did the work and the mapping?
Injectors and fuel pump from MWR, pulley and belt from Sinclairs, exhaust from 2bular and everything else from MMG who also fitted all the parts. Final mapping was done on the dyno at Sinclairs.
Sounds good, if you are ever in the Bedford \ Huntingdon area drop me a note and pop into our workshop. MMG? Are they Birmingham?

What fuel pump are you using? I take it your not using the Cupe 260 one…

Mere Green, Sutton Colfield, if you come up anytime soon Stephen bring some oil
I had a quicksilver before going to 2bular. Stick with the 2bular. My first quicksilver was at 107db after 3k miles and was replaced under warranty and that one went same way. quicksilver wouldn’t swap the 2nd one as said the car was blowing the packing out !!
Ditto dealing with Quicksilver and 2bular is a night and day scenario. Jim takes his time and its worth every penny, Quicksilver quickly tell you to fook off it’s your fault
