I’ve finally done it and booked myself onto this novice evening.
Can’t wait - should be a great intro hopefully.
I went to Bedford today to get my car noise tested prior to the day and with the standard exhaust my car tested at 91.8 static, including my TRD airbox.
I’ve got a geo and brake fluid change being done in the morning and then this in the afternoon
Roll on next Friday

Yup you’ll have a ball, it really is an uber safe circuit and a great place to go for your first outing.
I was there last night for the EVO mag evening. There was supposed to be a few of us going but it was over subscribed and I was the only one that booked early enough.
I was looking forward to giving my new brakes a workout,…so of course it lashed it down 
It was seriously slippy on 48’s but I had fun hooning around sideways and chasing down exotic 4WD machinery…including a bit of a ‘NEMESIS’ lap with a very mean looking matt black GTR.
Well if it rains I’ll be having to get my opposite lock steering techneque sorted pretty quickly as I have 48s too!

Well - what a brilliant evening.
I’ve learnt so much about my car and how much I really need that new forge to be delivered ASAP!
120mph down the back straight was what my car was topping out at before I had to brake. I’m sure there are plenty on here who can do a load more.
The biggest surprise to me was the tyres - A048s - WOW. This is the first time I’ve really had them hot and my god they are sticky arn’t they! Mega grip and fantastic feel through the corners. Getting 4 wheel drifts doing 90+ felt incredible and totally safe as everything was so progressive.
I had my 1-way bilstein adjustables set to 5/10 all round and this seemed not too bad, but would probably go a bit harder next time.
I was also surprised just how capable the brakes were considering the car is running standard pads and discs all round. Didn’t get brake fade once and in a couple of places (down to the hairpin) got ABS fluttering a little.
A brilliant evening and has now really given me the taste for more, but god it was tiring… How do you guys go for a whole day?!
Had a hoot along with my eldest daughter but boy was it hot work!
