Bedford Autodrome Sat 25 Jan

I’m kicking off the trackday season early this year with an outing to Bedford Autodrome on Saturday 25 Jan.
£125 with Lotus-on-track is a reasonable price, and it’s the GT circuit.

 Any one else up for it?

Hmmmmm, I’m not a big fan of the GT circuit (don’t mind SW though) and my car will be too loud at full chat but…

I’m booked on this, is £89 for anyone that went last year iirc

I’ll be there in a yellow RGB (first time on track in it) - please come and say hi!

Richard

Cool man, most LOT events are 80% elises so you should be easy to spot.

I’m in a Pearl white 240s with black bits on, taking a mate out for his first drive in the exige so half the time we’ll be pootling around.

Weather looks ok.

I’ve fitted my Sony sport cam so let’s see if we can get some Exiges track footage.

See you tomorrow.

Have fun lads,…would have loved to have sliding around Bedford this morning…

That was a lot of fun (until the monsoon at the end). Slight delay due to mist, but then a lot of slidey fun early on in the damp.

Did anyone get the details for the guys taking photos?

Cheers all!

Richard

I was taking my lad to football first thing looking at the damp roads thinking; those lucky gits spending the morning slithering around Bedford.

Sounds great, well done, lets see some vids.

wicked day, rocked up about 10:30 and drove til the monsoon. only really drove for one proper session and spent the rest of the time either provoking oversteer in the wet or teaching my mate how to drive.

that’s on track btw, visibility about 10m lol

That looks like real fun :open_mouth:

It it just me or do the wheels on the V6 look really odd when caught like this:

is it just slow shutter speed or do they actually appear like this to the eye?

I like it

This is a great pic IMO

When I tap the dashboard…

Yes being able to shoot head-on where the cars are hard on the brakes before they turn-in,means you can shoot wide-open, so fast shutter speed and nice blurred background with just the car in the fore ground sharp. If you’ve got the vantage point and a big enough lens its always going to yield nice pics (esp in a race with lots of cars in the background. If you can low sun that lights up the drivers faces all the better.

Looking down the hill on the approach to Druids is the classic example of this shot.

Nice pic though.

…although if I’m being critical, the car could do with filling the frame a bit better (more glass required) and the horizon is not level.

I thought that too but couldn’t be arsed typing it!
