Not strictly Exige content, but my S1 Elise battery died after only a week of not being on a conditioner (read it is ruined) I swapped in another battery from my Sirocco which got it going for the show we wanted to attend, but now I do need a new battery.
So, what to buy? fitting the full size battery through that hole which appears to be too small is an absolute pain, what can I use instead? Is there any other off the shelf sizes that fit better or a kit I can use to fit a smaller battery?
It will be on a conditioner all the time, I just moved it and didn’t bother putting it back on as I was using it the next weekend anyway (big mistake clearly).
Or should I just buy a good quality regular battery?
Just ordered a new Bosch 5 year warranty battery, seemed the best option
What type of battery was on previously @Ade?
It sounds like a parasitic drain issue if its killing it in a week.
TBH my AGM does the same.
It had previously sat for a month without being on charge so any loss would be minimal, I tried to charge the old battery after finding it flat but it wouldn’t take a full charge. I found a date code on it suggesting it was 8 years old, hence me just getting a new battery, I just want the car to work when I want to use it and £60 seemed like not a lot to spend to get that confidence.
Understood! 8 years seems like a good innings for a battery to me.
