Battery Isolator

I currently have a Cartek, I have a spare as my previous one lasted two years, this one has lasted two years and I really can’t be bothered to fit this spare as it’ll no doubt need replacing in two years…at somewhere like bloody Spa!(n)

So I’m looking at this

http://www.simtekuk.co.uk/product.php/ev200_electronic_battery_isolator_kit/?k=:::223807

The Cartek was quite straight forward to fit, mounted to the chassis under the airbox it took an earth with the ignition live looping through the Carek from behind the dash, is this a similar install? Or can someone please point me in the right direction?

Just looking at putting one of these in myself

Much easier than the Cartek ones.

Mount relay to anything you like, no need for a good earth. Run live from battery to one side. Run live off to everything else from the other side. 2 wires go off to ECU feed or anything else that will stop the engine. Final wire goes to switch, then onto earth, run as many switches as you like in series. Test. Drink a beer.

indeed, I plan on mounting mine next to the battery on a custom plate along with shorai battery

Tar John :thumbup:

It’s just the ECU bit I’ll struggle with now lol

I’m not yota expert, but if the coils have their own fuse you could rewire it to be fed from the engine cutoff relay instead

No it’s ok, I’ll just call John :wink:

Always the safest bet !
How’s the screensaver jonny ??

Lol it’s a wallpaper not a screensaver :mrgreen:

10 amp fuse in engine bay fuse holder does the job perfectly, as I found out at Hethel last month!!!
