Battery isolator

What is the best type? (Just want to be able to isolate battery during periods of no use, not motor sport application)
Where is the best position to fit it?
Is the negative or positive switched?

Simpler the better

Close to battery as possible

positive terminal

What is this I read about possible damage to the alternator?

Up till now I just remove the battery so a simple switch should have the same effect???

If the engine is not running … ie the alternator is not producing any power then no problem.

wasn’t there something weird with the 260 ECUs? Forgetting they’re 260s

Yup…recon that could be the simple answer

The advert shows connection to the black lead. I would assume to the red one on a negative earth car like the Lotus?
