Battery conditioner

Well my battery is FLAT again and I think I’ll have to get a battery conditioner as its getting to be a regular thing :frowning:
Any pointers as to which may be a good bet?

Accumate - got mine from Eliseparts. Bought it a couple of months ago and put it inside the car on the drive, bloody glad I did as the car has not moved for weeks. Looking forwards to it drying it out and turning the key with some increased level of surety

Connected to an ‘old lover’ I see!!!

Knew you still were holding a candle out for an S2 mate!!!

Got a CTek - http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/Performance/Electrical/Battery_Chargers_&_Conditioners/CTEK_Multi_XS_3600_Battery_Charger/643/0/14657

Always used CTek on all my cars. This ones got connectors that attach to the battery and you just plug the unit into.

Conditions and recharges dead batteries

Ditto on the CTEK, but don’t pay that much - 38 delivered on eBay for the same item. The Exige has been sitting on that now for over 2 weeks, moment of truth as I’m going to give it a run tomorrow…

6 weeks for me on a CTEK…

Not at all bothered… Toyo power!

The tyre manufacturers? Do you have to wind up a big rubber band to start it?

Same thing with me, went out to the garage yesterday to give the Exige a quick blat down the road, and the battery was completely dead. Found an old Halfords battery charger which I left on for 24 hours and its showing fully charged at 7am this morning, but I’ll give it an hour or so before waking the neighbours!

I’ve always used Acumates on my motorbike batteries, but I’ve read good things about the ctek ones, so might give one of them a go.

Yep its a pita so I think I am going to go with a ctek. Thing is that means I’ll need a racing battery next as the only thing stopping me was the short life between runs

Racing battery - this is the one to go for http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/Motorsport/Electrical_Components/Batteries/Odyssey_Extreme_Racing_25_Battery/1447/0/14627

I have a couple of Halfords conditioners for about a year now, they have been very good.

Another vote for CTEK

Is the Odyssey ER25 the same as the PC680? Most people on here seem to have the PC680 but on Odysseys site that seem’s to be aimed at big bike’s. However stat wise they are identical so I am guessing its just branding?
