I believe it’s something from the 340R that never made it to the Exige. However, you seem to be suggesting a pretty severe consequence of actually finding it, so I shalln’t be looking again! I have a CSi Airflow, which I believe is the one Lotus brand (and double the price). I have run the connectors from the battery through the rubber grommet in the passenger footwell, so the battery can be left charging over night with the charger inside the car and alarm on.

Thanks guysThat is exactly what I had done with my Elise (I already have an Airflow) - was hoping to not have to muck around with leaving a bonnet/boot lid open when I read the Exige manual.

Or you could save yourselves a HEAP load of trouble and get the Airflow charger that plugs into the cigarette lighter socket.Saves faffing around with finding battery terminals etc.

Unfortunately the lighter socket is live only with the ignition on - daft really, same as the stereo.

In the end that was easier than sorting the lighter out so it was on all the time (analysing wiring looms etc).
