It’s not bad news for Donington, just the company who are currently leasing the circuit. Circuit is still owned by the Wheatcroft company.
Presumeably though, if no one buys the lease on the circuit then it will fall to the Wheatcroft family to pay for its reinstatement. It’s unuseable as it is, isn’t it?
Can’t see the attraction in purchasing the lease now, although it’s all gone quiet on the Silverstone/F1 deal so who knows?
The land will have a high value given its location.

A good location for a manufacturing plant for recharge heaters 
Can’t see anyone taking on the lease from the Liquidator - the rent payable to the Wheatcroft Company, as landlord, will be substantial, & will no doubt restrict the tenant to using the property for motorsport only, not housing etc etc.
