BAD DAY AT DONINGTON

Imagine crashing the new Porsche 996 GT3 race car that the team had been preparing for 3 months for the 1st race of the British GT’s ??Well I did - GTs at Donington | PistonHeads UK I had been quickest in class for all the previous tests and no one could match the pace then a Coverrte drops oil and I am in the wall ON THE TEST DAY. The car will not be ready until the race at Silverstone in May as the shell is going to Ricardo for a repair and some serious mods.

Bloody bad luck Tony [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/frown.gif[/image]Russ & I came down to watch the racing - called in at your pit garage a couple times to see if you were there, but …We watched most of the GT race from the Redgate to Old Hairpin section of the outer track - fantastic sight & sound [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image] Shame about the Italian Elise Motorsport, which dropped out after about 30 mins of the 75 min race - don’t know what happened to it though.Keep smiling [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image]

The Elise suffered a wheel bearing failure.
