Great to see everyone today, I had a great day. Car was going great (not that I was driving of course with my busted hand…ahem ).
As I thought, the car was on the naughty side of too noisy for the drive-by. Andy tripped it in the morning and lots of short-shifting got us through to the afternoon. Ian was having some VHPD woes and then I got my second black-flag just when he was about to take over from me in mine,…sorry Ian. Six Exiges in total so a pretty good showing. Normal LOT standard of courteous driving too.
The Edwards really did a top job on my car and both mine and their car were tearing it up, spitting flames with no probs all day
Had a great day and was good to briefly meet you exige guys. Your cars where looking good and extremly fast! Sorry i cound’t chat to you lads longer, but had my bird to try and keep smiling during the day
Nice to meet you too Nath, your car looked immaculate Well done for even getting yer missus down to a Trackday, no way my other half would tag along (even ignoring the fact that she is 9months gone!). There is no way she woudl get in the car with me on circuit…and if she asks you did not see me driving with my busted hand
Was funny, she had been really looking forward to going and having a pax ride with me. She felt so sick after 1 sighting lap we had to come in . Took her lid off and she look pee green, time to get her out of my pride and joy! After an hour of so i got her to go out again for the real thing and she was better, but she still said it was hard keeping her breakfast down my driving???
Your car looked so sweet, was fantastic seeing it chucking out flames on the pit straight Do you have any pics mate?

Cheers Nath, I am well chuffed with it Had a first play for 20mins with my new camera too. Just getting my head around so many new feaures but here’s a couple of shots :
IDG - probably bouncing off the rev-limit at 5500rpm eh Ian >
Still smarting a bit. I’ll write up the problems and ask for advice soon. Still I had a nice day, just took the edge off it.
Oh, and thanks for the tow back, it’s much easier just following somebody. And how come the camera phones came out more for your car?! Must have been because it was in front.
I also discover the A/c works much better when it’s cold (just when you need it!).
Intersting you say that about Janey, Lisa is quite interested to experience a lap or two, see what all the fuss is about.
Great thanks, David Weather was perfect, except for a 20 mins spell late afternoon. Put in about 120 miles on track, & the car was going well. After being blitzed by an R1 powered Global Lights (driven by former Exige owner Tony Raines), I “increased” the rear wing, which gave me a few mph more around “School Corner”. Also met Craig Denman, an Elise S1 owner from Cardiff. His car is a very well sorted Duratec powered jobbie, & he was driving it very well too
Only downside of the day was having Treasure spin 3 times in front of me! The look on his face was as I went passed with him facing the wrong way on track
PS Russ was in fact instructing all day, in a standard Elise, & the spinners were in reality some corporate novices
