Dredded HGF

Wow that was close. …was about to book Donnington but thought I’d better do my usual checkover following Silverstone Gp and what did I find. …dredded oil in expansion tank…nasty black scum

I suppose it had to happen after all we rag these engines to bits .I’v done over 20 track days in it and goodness knows howmany were done by Russ and Whitter so I cant complain…
So its off to the fixers to get me going for SPA 1st Oct

Can Any experts out there fix it in time?? give me a shout if you can.

This has not been my year

Clive, really sorry to hear about this! :frowning:

I can only recommend what I know…and Lakeside have kept my engine happy, and they’re competitiively priced. Bit of a trek for you though!!

Hope you get sorted. You CANNOT miss SPA of all places!

Nick

May I ask if you run a standard thermostat or the modified PRT?

Bad luck Clive :frowning: I too am interested to hear if you run a standard, remote or PR thermostat. I’m guessing standard?

Anyway, since the head’s gota come off, why don’t you “do an Esprit” and whip the whole car apart and build a real monster

Run a Std thermostat… PRRT planned for rebuild .

George life’s too short to do an Esprit !!!

Hope to fix this engine , and then acquire an additional to be fettled by a “K” guru for next season…watch out "Rice Burners "

But meantime there might be a cheap SPA ticket going with hotel room booked…

Sorry to hear your woes mate.

If we can do anything to help let us know, although it seems like you ahve a few options closer to hand. Give John a call if you want a chat about it.

Thanks Sean

Thanks Sean

Dont know what happened there. Now cant delete posts??
Car going to GST Newmarket next week for a quick fix.
Then will find a new engine to be fettled by a “K” guru for next season.

Good luck, Clive - at least you’ll have something great to look forward to thrashing around the track :sunglasses:

Cool man, glad you have a plan!!

Away she goes

But back soon…
