audi elise (250)

ive got an audi engine in my elise. its got a spark and getting fuel. i can get it to start up and it runs for about 10 seconds then it just dies. anyone got any ideas why. would this be due to a sensor or fuel pressure or something else?. ive put a second inline fuel pump in wether that would make a difference. thanks for any help.

Hi Cris…
Could well be fuel…
How have you plubmed the second pump?
Have you used a collector/swirl pot?
normally you would use the in tank pump to lift the fuel into a swirl pot and the second pump would be gravty fed from this.
The swirl pot needs a return to tank and the fuel rail needs to return to the top of the fuel swirl pot…
If you just plumb them in line the second pump will simply scavenge the first one and fuel flow will stop!
Possibly after 10 seconds!!

im going to have a look at the fuel pumps today, im hoping the in tank pump is broke causing this problem. cheers

can be also an electric relay.i got this probleme on my ex lotus esprit v8
