Attn Mr Admin

exiges.com is coming into some slagging at Seloc which you might need to be aware of…(if you are not already)

Having said that, if that is how they want to behave just let them stew…

“We enlightened ones” have nothing but praise and thanks…(bow, scrape etc.)

What are they saying about us???

The chap asking the question is ok guy, NW based with a 240PP S2.

Does anyone have contact with Mr. Admin? I can try and PM him on PGT where he is a member.

Can one of the regular forum guys take on the role of approving registrations?

Quite right, “their is some utter crap” posted here.

LOL Clive!

Dont you just find it very funny!!!

Anyway, perhaps they are right that if it was JUST a forum for S1’s…

Mmmm… thats even funnier since I may get an S2!!!

www.thedarkside.com :sunglasses:

Probably that all S2 drivers are girls !!!

lol  lol

Bit touchy about you S1’ers and the old elise-coupe gag  what’s that all about

Cheeky buggers. I’ve given 'em what for!

I always thought slagging someone off was mandatory on Seloc.

can someone post a link as I must be blind

There is no point in propigating a ding dong no good will come from it IMO.

Back to the question I raised is there anyone who can contact Mr. Admin?

Very Funny!!!

There all just jealous that they can’t be part of our great site!!!

Sean don’t waste your time, mainly it’s about registration approval being slow…very in one case! But then Dave/Admin comes into a slagging off because he “throws his toy’s out the pram”…in my time on here I dont think I have ever seen that, you tell me? Someone got sensitive about the elise-coupe gag, Exiges.com is an S1 only site and some other guy said we post utter crap…(that’s just me ).

Shame really.

Life is too short!

lol

I have to say this is the best site I have come accross. I am a member of tyhe Sunbeam Lotus forum and SELOC.

I realy enjoy reading this.

I think sometime people forget that this is not a business and it is only possible because a few people give up their own time. So thanks to all those that make this site possible.

:sunglasses: yep and all welcome here!

On side note, had and excellent welcome on puregt.com this week!

Any “member” can contact him via pm. David hosts this site f-o-c with the minimum of interference, & he has total control of membership approval/moderation etc.

Personally, the last thing I want is for this forum to end up like any other, ie with “commitees/moderators” - only leads to trouble/dissagreement.

Unlike other forums, exiges.com can be viewed by anyone, & over 10 years, “self moderation” has worked extremely well. Mr Admin has had to use his sole discretion on a very small number of occasions - some of his decisions I dissagreed with, but I was more than happy to accept them, without any complaint.

The site started off as being an invaluable source of information, & collective help to the original owners of S1s, who had in the main, bought them to use extensively on track.(Many not having owned an Elise previously). A search through the archives will answer just about every question, which continue to be raised. There cannot be a better resource of S1 info anywhere. From day one, the site has been a friendly place to visit, with the added bonus of loads of mickey taking, & socialising, especially at trackdays.

Inevitably, the launch of the S2 was/still is a catalyst of friendly banter, but also brought many more peeps into Exige ownership - many who were previous owners of Elises, & already members of the likes of Seloc. Whilst exiges.com is a good source of info on the S2, Seloc is also excellent in that respect.

Sorry for the waffle - just thought it may help with the understanding of where we are today.

Aye the key to a good forum is membership and denial of entry doesn’t help that.

Exiges.com is a great forum and I try and put something back into it buy helping out with the events but that said if we can share the benefits with more owners then all the better IMO.

It is a win/win, we benefit from new members and fresh views and the more clickthru’s on the advertising banners helps the owner.
