The Armafend on my S2 has gone yellow, so I want to get it removed. I have heard a few horror stories about it taking the paint off with it, so I fancy someone else doing the job.
Can anyone recommend somewhere in the Midlands region?

Try JSR they seem skilled in most things
Have you tried UK Lotus Centre?
It is tricky … did mine last year and it did remove a bit of paint too .
Sean, mines the same…looks crap on a white car. I was gonna get the hairdryer out and try to heat while slowly removing. I’ll let you know how I get on
Yep Hair dryer and lots of patience - got to get the glue heated as you go - don’t be tempted to pull, once you’ve got a corner lifted
OK, well crisis over.
I thought f*** it and just went down and started peeling. 15 minutes later it is all off and no paint damage at all.
Cool man!
What are everyone’s thoughts. Re-Armafend it or just leave it off and have the front blown over once every year or so???
I reckon it will be cheaper and will look nicer to just have the paint done???
I always just leave a decent gap between me & the car in front.
Never had armourfend & never had problems with stone chips either
I would armourfend or similar on my next car, you can see how much it has saved the front of mine when you look at the odd little gaps!
If you go on track or travel in a “fast touring ensemble” the peppered front look is inevitable.
Armour fend helps but the bits not covered start to get peppered and you have to re-spray anyway.
When my current lot come off I will just re-paint the front every year or two.

Also Sean…
white cars do not show the stone chips like darker colours, so you can get away with it for longer than if your car was say black or red.
White rules…
Cool man!!!
I need to get it to the bosnians for a proper wash, it looks like it has still got the armafend on as they are the only clean bits!!
I did a charity track day at combe on saturday. many dead flies!!

What - you kill flies for charity ???
yeah man, it was good. Raised a few grand for a kids kidney charity.
If it’s a solid colour then a quick blow over with fresh paint works well. That’s why I’ve got a big tub of kermit green in the garage
Got to say getting your front blown is always and experience.
Ive had the front of mine done 2 or 3 times now, and cost has been far more in excess of putting some sort of armour fend on the car, wish I had done so at the start.
off at last…used hairdryer on offside, came off easy BUT most of the glue was left on the car, just peeled very slowly nearside no haidryer, more difficult to peel BUT no where near as much glue left on the car. No paint damage and petrol seemed the best thing to soften and remove glue. Will now make a template up and design my own rear wheel arch protectors. Will post pics once done
Use STICKY STUFF REMOVER to get rid of the glue. Always works for me…
My missus recommends baby oil - leave it to soak in first and it smells good too!
Does that relate to getting the front blow in ???
