hi all
i thought i`d login on the old laptop and provide an explanation to the forum after speaking to a couple of members inc pete.
this is completely my fault and no malice was intended.
i spoke to pete about these cams some time ago. a price was agreed and i waited for pete to get back from holiday etc to have them posted. he was kind enough to post them up to me without receiving payment - kudos. i initially intended them for my race car. sadly they didn`t quite get here in time and my engine popped a couple of days after they arrived. they were never opened (still to this day even) and somewhat forgotten about.
i asked the mrs to write me a cheque and gave her the details. as most do - she controls the purse strings! being honest that was it done as far as i was concerned. i fired the cams up for sale as i lost the head with the car. yes at a profit but i seen 2 sets at that price the same week. cheeky.
pete tried to contact me through here. i have had internet issues for some time now and i couldnt get any access. if anyone is with Sky im sure theyll know how tempremental their service is. when i got the message i spoke to the mrs and it turned out we hadnt sent payment. instead of sorting it there and then - which i should`ve done - i made apologies and got caught up with other things at home.
i received an email from shug on scottishelises. he alerted me to this thread and when i tried to look i could not sign in to the forum to reply. i called pete but could only leave a message. when he replied i sent off cash recorded delivery.
no malice - just lazy bastard syndrome. it`s very easy to get caught up with things. i compare it to getting paid for a job before actually doing it. no motivation. i can only apologise and hold my hands up.
