I know lots of people use Stage 2s its just that I’ve seen a stage 1 for sale cheap and was wondering if it was worth buying. I’d just like to get a bit more burble from the exhaust but nothing too crazy. Do they look the same as std?
I’ve got the Stage 1 on mine. It sounds a bit more interesting than the standard system, but it’s not dramatic. It’s a useful few kilos lighter than the original.
I chose it because I didn’t like the stage 2 on the 111R I test drove; it was very boomy. Plus the stage 1 shouldn’t be too much of a problem on track days.
It looks better than the standard one as it has bigger pipes.

My 240R came with a stage one, done loads of track days and never had any noise level issues but it does give a better sound. Would only buy one for upto about �200 otherwise people like 2tubular will make you a better one exactly to you tastes for less!
I’m chasing Mrjonty as we speak, he wants �160 for his so I dont think I can say no for that price.
I us one, sounds great and no prob’s on track days.
Yep, I got one in with the deal when I bought the car, seems to burble more now after 4000miles Louder and better looking than stock yet still ‘sensible’ and passes the Bedford Autodrome driveby noise test nicely
