Anyone used The UK Lotus Centre?

Mate of mine just bought an S2 in Australia & needs a few parts. He’s found them here but I’ve never used them. He’s trying to join the site.

Apart from EliseParts, Hangar 11 & Seriously Lotus who else do you all use??

Cheers

Mark

Used them, as used to be a couple of miles from them.

Rocky gets some bad press, so a couple of caveats. I wouldn’t buy a car from there. I wouldn’t buy anything mail order. If you are walking in, know what you are looking for - as in really, really know - and know it’s value, then you should be OK. Eyes W I D E open. Treat it like a high end, old school breakers yard - as that’s what it is - and you won’t go wrong.

Also worth looking at Deroure / Bell and Colville online as Lotus seem to stock lots of random things still!

I’ve found both South West Lotus Centre and SJS to be good sources for hard-to-find bits as well.
Bear in mind the lead time of ‘Factory Order’ parts from Lotus could be anything from a few days to ‘never’ :frowning:

Do some searches on other forums (e.g. Seloc) for all the companies listed and make your own mind up

Oh and Don’t forget Junks (Phil Peak) too, he generally has most spares in stock

I should be rather wary of UK lotus Centre, it is a glorified scrap yard and the prices they ask are somewhat high to say the least!

Not very welcoming or helpful at all, even if you do manage to find their place either.

They also seem to get a little upset if you ‘make an offer’ which is not to their liking, as in their ebay item listings … very sensitive… bless!

I noticed they had used my photos of parts I had for sale years ago on a eBay listing last week , Naughty !

I see they now have a set of used S1 Exige wheels and tyres for £2,950 !!

More fool anybody who pays that! … the damn things weigh a tonne!

start with junks first

Thanx guys. He had placed the order with UK Lotus & the parts arrived - thankfully all OK!
