I am thinking stealthily, by the numberplate in some fashion.
Anyone done it? Any tips?
thanks all

Calling Jonnyfox, just make sure he doesn’t convince you into a widescreen TV on the dash
I have considered it, like most upgrades for my car, but have never got around to it, and just live with it.
I think the biggest issue is location of the screen on the dash
Loads of discussions about these sort of things on
It is the one thing i didn’t bother to spec on my Evora. I think ther parking sensors are good enough on their own IMHO.
ill take soe photos of mine and stick them up over the weekend
My Evora has one and it amuses me as it does actually work although like Tim I’m not sure it’s essential.
It is very small, however and a similar device could easily be concealed above the No Plate on an Exige - which is where it is on the Evora. As for something to watch iy on, well that’s another matter for an Exige.
Not sure why you need one on an Exige anyway. You’re only a few feet away…
Dear o dear …
"Can i have a rear camera on my 55 ft artic please boss ? I cant see behind me "
I’d be the laughing stock
PMSL although some mounting behind is okay
Now all we need is the remote speed limiter off button, when you’re overtaking your mate, when you have a 0.00000000000001 mph speed advantage on a dual carriageway
When that kebab house shuts at 1 am the 0.0001 makes all the difference !
Do her rear sensors then beep for you mate?
I made all mine from scratch, all but the little camera which I bought online with a long lead. The screen was bolted through the dash which I’m sure is a route you won’t want to go down and the camera had a mount which I riveted above the number plate. Lots of trial and error and piss take as I had never made my own screen before but once it was done it was fairly neat and very useful.
Sorry Jonny, you know I love ya, but it wasn’t neat. In fact it looked bloody horrendous!!!
Lol at that image and for the record it never left the garage like that. I dunno when it was finished it wasn’t that bad, useful enough though.
When you say ‘wasn’t that bad’, do you mean when you put it up against the current crisis in Iraq or Syria. Or that big bloody volcano that is about to eat half of Iceland??
I have a JVC head unit coupled to a small camera fitted just above the rear number plate. The display area is good enough to assist parking day or night. Unfortunately can’t comment on price or installation as it was fitted when I bought the car. Added benefits of the head unit is that it’s Bluetooth so I can connect my phone for hands-free and stream music to it - mp3 and 3g for Tunein Radio etc Standard radio reception is superb (unlike my previous Elise DAB unit).
Couple of pics, sorry for crap quality !
