Anyone doing Snetterton 300 Easytrack on 27/4?

Anyone going, I’m booked in with the Red Elise, having an Emerald fitted the day before to (hopefully) fix an on track miss-fire problem (very long story) - then no more reasons for going slow.

Snetterton 300 looks great, I’ve always enjoyed the old circuit with only 118bhp, now a fast circuit with a wiggly bit must be even better!

Clearly nobody going (apart from me)…shame…great track.

Yes I plan to get out there this year but not this month :frowning:

I know someone on here who likes Snett and will soon have just the kinda power that suited the old circuit…118bhp will be rounding error for this madman

Thinking about it, I’m sure a few of us should try and head East later in the year.

Have fun, and hope the Emerald cures your gremlins.

I’ll be there in to give my newly restored 1965 MGB FIA race car (road registered mind you!)its first shake down run. I had to sell my Exige S to fund it, so we’ll see whether that was a good idea on Wednesday! 170 bhp and 850 Kgs on old style Dunlop race rubber should be a hoot. Already missing the air conditioning.

Not sure if I spoke with you, I chatted with the “MGC” and the green and red MGB owners, my old B was only 90 odd hp… sold it to buy the Elise.

Snett 300 …Brilliant. I always liked the old course but now it has a wiggly bit. My bog standard Elise pumping out a claimed 118bhp (tested at 139 by Dave Andrews) got beaten up on the straights but enjoyed the turns.

Great track, fantastic weather and well run by Easytrack…happy day.

Silly question but why is Snetterton now called Snetterton 300? Don’t remember seeing the 300 bit previously…

It now has a wiggly bit in the middle, where you used to set off down Rivets straight it now goes into an infield area of about 6 corners before rejoining. This has been done to get more people up there (many saw the old track as a bit boring) and make the lap over 2 miles - so it can be used for more races.

As you would expect with MSV, it’s all perfect, even if you have to pay if you crash off and rip up the grass.
