Any yota bright sparks?

The last time my car started it took a fair while to turn over, but now just cranks without starting.
I’ve checked the fuses, battery and done a compression test. The coilpacks are giving a 12v and 5v reading. The spark plugs look ok but for some reason they’re not sparking when held near the engine and the ignition turned?

Any ideas?

Altough Ive an s2 I dont know if they have a separate engine earth srap, might be worth checking to make sure you have a good earth?

I thought that but there’s continuity from engine to ecu, and from the negative battery post to the engine. Also I tried using a jump cable from the negative battery post to the engine and it’s the same again. So I don’t think it’s an earth problem?

Oh that’s what’s wrong with it fingers crossed you get it sorted mate!

Sounds maybe that a diognostic is in order… Ecu is refusing to give a spark…

If that’s the case Neil I can bring my ECU over Tuesday first thing to check…My cars having a service tomorrow.

Apologies to 21gg. Took the car to JSR this morning who cleaned up the earth under the front access panel which seems to have fixed it.
