He (Jon Wareing) is not an exiges.com member, & that was actually a motorsport bodied Elise (by Eliseparts), with a Turbo Technics supercharged K series. Quite a famous car with reg reading “BLOWN K”, which has had a few owners, & quite a history (see SELOC “LotusElan17” ie David Rowatt).
The Police video clip was used as evidence in the ensuing court case, which was reported on national news. However, I honestly can’t remember the outcome of the case.

From what I remember the lotus owner lost his license and he sold the car on eBay (quite some time ago) as there was a video link in the ad to prove the cars performance
