Thanks. Yours is looking good too, the updates reminded me to pull my finger out!
I know that pain! I’ll go back and do a few things again, but I can’t let it turn into something with no end point too. I set a budget at the outset and I decided after it was moved home that I need to put a loose deadline on it now to help move it along Those two things should then limit my scope…
That’s the theory!
I get it a different way. I get something done then think, I could do it neater and tidier if I make more of an effort. It’s a never ending cycle of remove, clean, shot blast, zinc coat, paint, wait for other parts, buy other parts then refit. And then start all over again! I soaked the rear calipers in 7 bottles of Morrisons “savers” vinegar today, holy shit they came out looking like NEW! So started to refit them… That spring retainer could do with shot blasting/Zinc coating and I’m waiting all over again
Looking fantastic Si.
Great pics too,…clearly someone who know what they’re doing (on both fronts).
where was the stable from?
where was the stable from?
Sorry for the tardy reply…That’s a warwick triple garage just with 3m wide double door and a stable door rather than a normal door. They’re a bit of an arse to deal with and knocked down a couple of my neighbours drystone walls. The building is pretty good for the money though.
A little more progress grabbing an hour here and there. Dug out a box of hoses and did a bit of head scratching.
After a few rethinks mocking stuff up I threw a few more £££ at it and it looked like this. Which gives a bit neater looking engine bay for a honda.
A little trick if you need to delete the standard honda oil cooler. The bung is the only thing you really need the rest was magpie syndrome
Slowly working through wiring the thing up at the moment.
Brilliant Si, absolutely brilliant.
yeah very nice, sat here thinking mine looks shabby compared
It’s does… BUILD THREAD!
Does look fantastic - keep the updates coming, really love seeing the progress.
Thanks chaps, I’m enjoying building it at the moment. Its nice to be able to fit in a few hours working around work and domestic stuff. I’ve set myself a target to turn the key and get it running before christmas…so that means filling all the fluids and finishing the wiring plus all those little jobs that are now doubt half done!
