Another valuation question

Going on from Nick’s thread, and I didn’t want to hijack that I wondered what you guys thought I should value mine at for insurance (when it’s ready)?

Approx 48k miles.
Fresh paint and full suspension refresh.
HPE 2.2 K20 on ITB’s along with other HPE/clockwise goodies.
Quantum’s/TMR’s etc

Really value your opinions.
Thank you.

Has to be getting on for 50k. Or on 2nd thoughts…somewhat past 50k as its had a respray. And low miles…
Mine’s had all that (not 2.2) but sc …few more miles though. But its not for sale …yet
Have fun

Mine was valued at £45k 18 months ago and is similar apart from you have NA screamer and I have SC+CC. I’d go for £50k at least.

OK, I know this is a public forum, so I will be careful what I say, but surely the big value for these cars is in mint condition standard examples. I don’t see heavily modified versions making as much. Don’t get me wrong, if there was one Exige in the World I would choose, it would be Ben’s, But we’ve seen a mint modded SC car up at £55K for a good few months now and it’s still for sale.

I know we are talking insurance values, and they are a different thing to sale values, but even so.

Yeah, for the investor/purist originality is king. Nowt wrong with a Honda, especially if the mods are reversible, but originality will always win out when everything else is equal…

I totally agree, this is not a ‘how much can I sell my car for’ situation. Just to gauge an idea should the worst happen.

I’m under no illusion that a low miles original car is where the future value is for S1’s.

Just done mine Rob through Henderson Taylor for the same as Ben’s.

Jonny yours is a bit different. The last time one like yours came up for sale it was in a dealer showroom window and brand new.

So by my reckoning that’s £33K less air con…lets call it £31,750

I’m here all day btw :ugeek:

 We’re not friends anymore

Yeah mine cost that new in 2001 .I still have Robs original delivery invoice…Less EVO trade in!!! :smiling_imp: !

Since then I reckon its had at least DOUBLE that spent on it . :open_mouth: … so to recover the investment ?? £100k should cover it :astonished: .
One secret I have learned NEVER keep the car bills where ’ er indoors can find them. …cost me a lot of handbags/shoes over the years! :unamused:
But it was fun! :lolno:
Keep having fun

Yeah I intentionally stopped keeping track of what’s been chucked on the bonfire many years ago. A LOT of money has been lavished on my wagon :open_mouth:

What you spend and what it is worth are two very different things. And being the mug who has bought new five times I should know :wtf: Even my Europa TC bought for £4K and sold for nearly £12k had about £15K lavished on it to the benefit of the next owner.

No regrets though, fook that
