Well the beast is back with MMC munched through its 2nd throttle cable in 9k
The cable starts to wear through the sheath requiring more and more pressure to apply the throttle. This happens over a period of time and if left unchecked I am guessing the friction could increase until the spring would not be able to return the throttle to the off position and you would end up with a throttle jammed open
Has anyone else had this prob or is mine a one off?
Mine got frozen open in the cold weather over the winter, leading to a few hairy moments. MMC firstly said there was no problem after looking at it, however after 3rd time they agreed that was damage to throttle cable or water freezing around it and changed it. Seems to have been fine since.
