Got back last night after the CircuitDays track day on Monday, generally a very good trip but there were a few serious issues that a lot of people where not happy about.
Here are a couple of vid’s and I’ll tell more later when i get time.
A quick snip-it of the roads approaching the ring. On the road.
Going by the data logger this started out to be one of my quickest laps but it was ended early as you will see, dont bother watching after i have pulled over as nothing happens.
It was a miracle but the only damage was to the paint on my passenger side rear wheel and a 2cm scuff on the edge of the arch, it was the white porsche that hit me wheel to wheel. I just backed off due to the guy at the side waving but the prick in the porsche thought she would continue and pass me even though i had not indicated or waved, when you look at the film there is still loads of room to my left so i don’t understand why she was so close.
This type of thing happened to me three or four times over the day, the standard of driving was the worst i had ever had to put up with it was like being in a race. This was my third visit to the ring but the first time as a track day and it felt more dangerous from other drivers than tourist days !
There where twice as many cars there as we where lead to believe by the organisers and there were many race teams testing their cars running slicks and full wets when it rained.
My best time was 8.30 with traffic (B to G) and generally sub 9mins so i was not hanging around but the race cars pass you like you are standing still on corners, straights or where every they catch you up with no warning.
