Been thinking about an Exige for some time now and will be in a position to buy one in the next few months, so started investigating and came across Exiges.com. Great site. Going to buy a (used) S2, hopefully in Black or Orange.
Unfortunately my knowledge is very limited at this time (that’s why i came here!) Does anyone have any advice on buying, what to look for etc. Also still a bit confused between the different variants. I’m mainly looking to know what is the differences between the Standard Exige and the Exige S.
Do the majority of owners take there Exige on trackdays? I’ve read that quite a few of you do.
Welcome Peter, there’s a nicely priced orange Exige at Stratstone in Leicester, done only 6k As for which one to buy well that my friend is where you do the math? Although here is a great start! There is allot to be modified on the car so it basically depends on where you want to start performance wise, outlay now or outlay later! Trackdays…are usually the best days of the year and I’m talking all 365 of them You are always welcome to come along for a look see mate, good luck…you’re doing the right thing
I’ve just gone through this process, took me about 6 months to find the right car, (via Pistonheads) - low mileage early S2 with performance pack. Be happy to show you the car and talk through what I found out about buying used exige. Whereabouts are you? I’m in Warrington.

Should have put my location in! Have now. I’m a fair bit up North, but cheers for the offer. Got a feeling it may take me a while to get one also. Got any pics?
As for the Exige S at Stratstone, can’t find that either!
Not sure about the yellow stripes, but these can be removed easily enough can’t they? Is “one lady owner” a good thing? I immediately worry about kerbed wheels!!! Sorry to any ladies, it’s just my girlfriend drives my Golf. I’ll say no more!!!
“One lady owner” is, in my opinion, usually a sales ploy into making a prospective buyer think the car has not been hammered. It may well be that the car has a lady as its registered keeper, but “caveat emptor” applies to all used cars
