My R300 looks too black head-on so I’m gonna spice it up a bit with some fluoro Orange - ‘7’ logo on the grille, mirrors some decals that kinda thing. Ordered a new grille and was busy with the rattle cans this weekend.
Fitted the grille which I was well happy with and whipped the mirrors off to give them the same treatment. I need to mount them lower too as I’m now sitting so low I was having to look up to see my mirrors! BobVanM off of seloc has done me the fluoro-orange R300 decal set which are in the post and will go on too when I see the car next.
No regrets too about getting BAT to run the car and do the whole arrive 'n drive thing. Sure I got some ribbing from the lads about my ‘hands-off’ approach as the lads fuelled the car and changed the wheels but when you’re a mechanical numpty like me its a great way to roll
Shitty iPhone pic but you get the idea.
Very, very sensible Ben from a safety point of view - also looks great
Is orange paint stronger than black paint then Roberto?
Worked for me & Russ
Hmm, its not flame retardant though
Yeah I’m all for being visible on circuit that’s why I did it. Plus on BAT days there’s lots of black BatCats and it’s nice to be identifiable so your mates know it’s you and not some random BAT punter. Plus it looks neat
Works very well on track buddy - no mistaking you now!
Dave, that was such a great set up line to rip the piss out of Ben. But sadly his skill in a 7 massively out weighs mine, and I would of just ended up being trounced. hahaha
Need sneaky practice.
You need to get busy dude, I’m getting comfy in that little R300,…ready to push you round the circuit whenever you’re game
Decals arrived from BobVanM
Nice
Oh yes
Like them
Will look ace on the motor
Ginger badger!
That conjures up an entirely different image
Anyways, confirmed the mirrors are now most definitely 100% orange, looking forwards to seeing them on car with the ‘ginger badgers’ iPhone camera can’t really cope with quite how orange they are.
Damnit…that looks a good job… I’m gonna have to redo mine again now!
