Following my triumphant uploading of pictures from Supercar Sunday in Lancashire I can now offer you yet more from another rural car park, at The Assheton Arms, Downham, near Clitheroe. No lyrical write-up this time because I didn’t get to speak to any of the owners.
I think I may be getting the hang of this Photobucket/iPad interface malarkey but I could be wrong. Let me know if you can see 'em
All these were driven by men of “a certain age” (much like myself and Pesky, I hear you chorusing) wearing tweeds, heavy duty caps. Some had moustaches; the bloke driving the striped Cobra had a splendid upper lip appendage.
I wish I could have had a chat but I think they must have been in a private dining room at the Assheston, a place I would heartily recommend if ever you “southern Jessies” are oop our way.
