Anglesey

17/8/01 Russ is this still on and how many of our group are going? It seems like a bloody good value day out with no noise problems.Come on guys the summer wont last forever, take a day off and come join us. I plan to drive up the day before and stop off overnight. Any other southerners fancy a blast? (Or our chaps across the water?)Kee [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image][This message has been edited by Keenan Perrin (edited 08 August 2001).]

[color:“#8000FF” SIZE=“-1” FACE=“comic sans ms, verdana”] Loading... Only 5 people have actually paid up. Max is 40. I went to Anglesey with the BookaTrack people last month, very friendly bunch and relaxed. However very good at ensuring a safe day ( no overtaking without consent etc ). Right now its down as sessions, but I suspect with low numbers they will go for open pitlane ( they did this at Donington when I went with them last month too ). If you have not done it Anglesey is a cracking track, a little short, however it has good mix of types of corners and one of those tracks that is easy to pick up, but you will never master. Only downside is, no matter where you are in the country it appears a heck of a drive to get to it. But then there is always the A5 across Wales to enjoy yourself on the way back [This message has been edited by Rod (edited 08 August 2001).]

Thanks Rod, I’ll endeavour to pull my finger out and get it booked! [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/wink.gif[/image]

Right Kee, you’ve got company! I’m thinking of staying in a B&B near the circuit Thursday night, where are you planning on staying?

You’re welcome to occupy the passenger seat for some of the time if you wish, but I would like a reasonable amount of track time solo, especially as Ive never done a track day at Anglesey before and I need to learn the circuit. Perhaps you could car hop between us? [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image]

That sounds fair… I’m happy to pimp myself out to any spare seat going…Didn’t you guys read the small-print in the terms & conditions for this BBS.It says:Whenever Dave is at a track day without his car, you must allow him to blag as many rides in your car as he sees fitDidn’t you see it ?[This message has been edited by Admin5 (edited 09 August 2001).]

Right, booked into the Anglesey Arms. Kee, what route are you planning on taking, we might be able to meet up en route?

Havent figured that one out yet. Got the logistics of Exige Subaru and kids I may end up travelling from Alton towers on the mm-m-mmm-mm–mm–m cant say it, but its three lanes wide and boring.Kee [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image]

I live virtually on top of the mm-m-mmm-mm–mm–m 6 / mm-m-mmm-mm–mm–m 56 intersection, and as you’ll probably be using one to get to the other you’ll probably pass my doorstep. Sadly, there isn’t an interesting route from here to Anglesey unless you go via Cardiff, so I might have to suffer in silence too!
