That corner onto the start straight is a bugger in the wet (well it is when driving the Coastal circuit), as its off camber. When I was there earlier this year, a number of cars had real “tank slappers” at that point, & it looks like the M3 did too!

It was certainly treated with a lot more respect by everyone when the circuit re-opened.
I’d taken both my brothers for their 1st trackday driving in a Caterham. One was stood on the pitwall when this happened and later found some glass from the car in his shoe! The other one had to drive past just before it was red flagged. Not the best introduction to trackdays but it did serve very well to illustrate the point that there’s no reset button (both are Playstation generation).
Wow, that is properly bent. Looked like a nice car, pre-crash. Doesn’t look like the air bag went off though, and it has taken quite a clout on the front. What do you have to do to get those things to go off man!!!
Maybe the driver doesn’t want the car to be seen crashed on the track? No number plates post crash. Insurance maybe?
Nah, the pics are on the website of which the driver, Ando, is an Administrator, & he’s contributed to the thread concerned without problem. http://www.racingdistrict.com/
I was there on this day with about 5-6 other cars from MLOC.
The guy had spent all morning driffting it around corners, including the last corner which has the pit wall next to it.
There were about 5 cars with the same decals, his were removed straight after the crash. Hope he’s not planning on putting it in a ditch and claiming on his road insurence now the pictures are all over the internet.
