There’s a few more bookings in the pipe so get in there.
I’ve also been asked a couple of times about coming along but not going on circuit. Its as much a social-event as a circuit-event so any exiger is welcome to just pitch up at Ty Croes on Good Friday and have a wander around the paddock and say hello. No booking/payment required and you can sign on as pax for £10 (which all goes to charity).
Also I’m excited to announce that Hofmanns Lotus will be attending the event. Chris Randall (Randy) will be coming along and driving his 340R on circuit. Randy is known to many of us and was one of the original members of the forum when he owned an S1 (which he turned into a very successful racecar) and long before he became a Lotus dealer. He is well known as a Lotus handling guru and is exceptionally talented on circuit (especially in a Lotus) having been dominant firstly in his Exige then in his well known Europa. Its not even his first exiges.com event as I remember him coming to Croft in 2005!
Fingers crossed too that the Hofmanns Exige 380 demonstrator will be there too with availability for test drives (still awaiting confirmation on that). I think there’s a pax seat in his 340R if you ask nicely (and have your brave pants on!)
From memory he had a disagreement with Admin5 about downforce (approx a decade ago). I’d tend to trust the opinion about aero of someone who has spent considerable time racing an 1000bhp Group-C GTP car.
I think he should be allowed back. Regardless he’s booked on to attend and I for one am looking forward to sharing a circuit with him. Oh by the way, unbelievably this is first time driving at Anglesey so if you know yer way round I suggest going out behind him immediately after the sighting laps to bag an overtake
