Anglesey 2016

Great idea Thommo

:I priced it up with a company in LlanfairPG, on the following basis:

I wrote: Just wondering if you could give me a rough idea of the cost of a mini-bus to take seven/eight people from The Bull, Llangefni to Bangor on Thursday evening of March 24, 2016 at around 6.30/7pm with a return journey at 11pm?
They came back with figure of £60.If everyone is on board that won’t be much per head. I said I would let them know asap.
Hope the Bangor curryhouse is big enough for all of us . …Benja will doubtless let us know.

In the meantime, thanks for your thumbs up, Tim. Let’s hope everyone else is up for it.

Ben, have we booked a few tables for evening dinner on the Thursday? ( and perhaps Friday too if enough of us are staying)

I better order a tanker load of Gaviscon for you then

Started another thread to discuss the plans for socials…

Laugh a minute, you, boyo!

It looks like we may be able to get some Caterham hire cars to the event if anybody is interested. The BatCat R300s will be at Spa so it will be the CDX cars which have 140bhp, LSD, windscreen etc. Still plenty quick enough and guaranteed fun,…especially if it rains

If you or someone you know would be interested please pm me or post on this thread. Based on two sharing a car, all in it works out at £545 each including everything (car/fuel/insurance/trackday etc). I’ll try partner people up if you’re interested in sharing…

One month to go :sunglasses:

Which feels like a good time to start weather watch…

UK Outlook for Thursday 10 Mar 2016 to Thursday 24 Mar 2016:
On the whole, cold and changeable conditions look to dominate through the period. Spells of wet and windy weather are likely as frontal systems push in from the Atlantic, but there should also be periods of more settled, crisp and bright conditions between. There will be some sleet or snow at times, either from showers in the colder spells or due to frontal systems running into cold air. Temperatures will generally be below average, with overnight frosts fairly common.

So basically it’s going to be cold, could be wet, might snow, could be icy, probably windy. Just like last year then.

I read that as changeable with a 97% chance of spells of considerable hoonery

What’s the 3% doubt?!

Nothing in life is ever certain Ian,…ok it’s more like 99.999%

Death and Taxes…which is why we do Trackdays, right?!

Unfortunately I’ve had to pull the 'box back off my car, so I’m now not going to be able to make it. :frowning:

I’ve cancelled through BAT so either they will fill the space or it will go back up on the website I guess!

Have a good one though all, hopefully I can meet a few of you at trackdays later in the year…

cheers,
Patrick

Unfortunate Pat, these things take time. Good luck.

Oh, bad news. Was so looking forward to seeing( and hearing) your car. Let us know when you are out on track
(somewhere civilised) so we can come and drool

Yes Pat for sure…the car would be epic at Spa, plenty time til July bud :sunglasses:

My car is now in at RMS in Romford, Andy who used to work for Sinclaire’s took over the building and kept a mechanic or 2
New 46mm Nitrons, spherical joints and bump steer kit, should be back in a week or so  nicely in time for Easter
