Well today started off quite badly for me work wise, then on way to aylesbury to get the car mapped, I got a puncture on my Audi Q7 and due to the wonderful way the space saver is deflated changing the wheel on the hard shoulder of the M25 at 9.30am was not pleasant.
Only to find the electric pump that is in the boot wouldnt blow the tyre up as there was something wrong with it.
Phone calls to RAC and several more bollocking them for not turning up, 4 and a half hours later I was on my way again after john said to call guildford tyres and they sent a guy out to me who thankfully was in cobham so took 15 mins to get to me and pump up my space saver.
At that time RAC turned up and guy tells me they only got the job 15 mins before… I wasnt happy.
Anyway guildford tyre guy tells me all 4 tyres are shot as the alignment is out on the car and thats why the outside edges are worn down and the inside edges had the banding poking out of them yet there was loads of tread in the middle.
So had to get john to order me 2 new tyres and 2 more on the way, not cheap at over 300 each becasue of the size!
Anyway turning up 5 hours late to the dyno the car had all ready been mapped.
I have the map in the car will up load later.
This is the new look inside the car at the back that proalloy have worked on.
New airbox, 2 new rads for extra cooling in each side pod and twin fans in the front, no cooling issues now.
On to the good news after a very crappy day, with the new turbo the car made 602BHP at 7500rpm with torque just below 500.
Happy with the results, the map is much more linear and will be far nicer to drive.
Low boost setting is 515bhp and high is 602bhp just incase I wish to save some petrol!
Cheers for the cover david also, picked it up on the way home and popped the money through the letterbox as suggested.
Off downstairs now for a glass of wine!!
Will have to change the name of the car now too!
