And the good news is......

Well I managed to finally sort out my Ards test after getting the go racing pack last year, so I took the test at thruxton yesterday and passed!
But unfortunately the lotus decided it didnt want to play ball on the way there when I stopped for petrol, was very nearly too late to do my ards but luckily after several phone calls it turned out to be a faulty relay switch for the fuel pump, I didnt actually know 1 was spare so managed to get the car going again and with a bit of spirited driving got to thruxton just in time to do the test.
Unfortunately my sons seems to be showing signs of chickenpox which he caught from nursery 5 days before we are due to fly out to florida for 2 weeks for family holiday which at the moment might not happen now if its confirmed on monday.
And ive just had the very unfortunate task of having to bury our 2 year old cat which got run over earlier this afternoon whilst I was mowing the lawn at the front of our house with the mrs and my 2 year old boy helping.
My wife is devastated and ive got to be honest I cant belive how attached I was to the cat, the most docile loveable creature and now shes gone.
My sons luckily too young to really know exactly what has happened, but the reason we were going on holiday was my mother in law passed away on new years eve so we are taking my father in law and my niece to florida to try and cheer everyone up, cant see it happening now.
I just hope ive still got time to get my MESC entry in as I have gotten round to doing it with all the [censored] thats been going on this year.
Any way sorry to be so depressing everyone, might have to take the car out for a spin to cheer myself up.

Sorry to hear youve got so much bad news… all the best for the future.

focussing on the positive - congratulations on your ARDS test, good luck with the chickenpox, and thinkng about your car must always put a smile on your face.

Sorry to hear about the cat - we’ve got four and love em all - you’ll have to get a kitten !!

Jeez mate that is tough - hope it works out for you.

I know what you mean about getting attached to a cat. I have a beautiful brown spotted Bengal cat and I would be absolutely gutted if anything happened to him.

My sister breeds oriental cats if you are looking for something to take your mind off it. When I spoke to her she had one left (from the recent two litters) and she was considering keeping it. Let me know me know if you want me to see if she still has it. Orientals are tiny, real characters,…sometimes a bit neurotic.

Great news on the ARDS by the way - really looking forward to seeing you racing.

Here’s hoping for better times Christian.
