Using all genuine lotus body panels. There is a spoiler to be added. Loads more that I want to do it, but the progress will be slow:( to many expensive hobbies!
The engine conversion was a DIY job by the previous owner, so not the tidiest of jobs but it works fine. Also looks bit of a mess in this shot because the clam was off so looms and wires everywhere. I’d just finished installing the itg carbon intake. The previous owner had used the civic type r airbox!
Eventually I’d like to remove the boot floor and put the race exhaust system in.
There are a few lose ends that need sorting out on the body conversion. The guy I bought the roof off had removed all the seals:( and the rear clam which was brand new didn’t come with any holes for the bolts where it meets the roof.
Tarmac terrorist- I did 7 skydives when I was 21 (6 years ago) so it’s always been an interest, gave it up because I realised I’d rather be flying aeroplanes than jumping out of them. That picture was taken at langar airfield near Grantham/Nottingham.
Hopefully should be getting some quantum single adjustable coilovers soon to replace the gaz items that are on it. The spoiler should look something like this
This was on the old clam before I found out it wasn’t much good (spider cracks all over the place) I’d cut slots in to take the spoiler uprights to the chassis longerons, but I haven’t done that on the new clam. I’ll just mount it in the standard holes and brace it up underneath the clam.
The clutch pedal has been squeaking and driving me nuts as well so this weeks job is to change the truneon to the elise parts item. Wish me luck!
Your in good company with DaveP on here then as he’s been known for chucking himself out the back of a plane on the odd occasion is his younger days (although i vividly recall he said he’d take me one day…).
